Visit Greenland's Spectacular Glaciers With Norwegian Coastal Voyage

GLP Worldwide invites you to experience the breathtaking coast of Greenland aboard the newly-launched MS Fram, a cruise vessel designed specifically for cruising in Greenland. The first Greenland cruise departs from Reykjavik in Iceland on May 27, 2007.

Guests of GLP's Norwegian Coastal Voyage and NCV Expedition programs are experienced travellers who are looking for unique experiences where nature, culture and comfort are central elements. The Greenland voyages are a chance to see Greenland's glaciers in their true form. The ice cap that covers 80 per cent of the island is melting, a rallying call for those who want to see Greenland's icy realms before its glaciers shrink significantly and eventually disappear.

"With all the climate changes and what's happening in this world, this is a very opportune time for this once-in-a-lifetime experience", said Gordon Dreger, Vice-President of GLP Worldwide Expedition Travel & Tours, Norwegian Coastal Voyage's Canadian representative.

The newly-launched MS Fram will only serve to enhance this once-in-a-lifetime experience. "MS Fram is the world's most modern explorer ship, combining today's levels of comfort with the opportunity to get close to the scenery and the elements," continued Dreger.

MS Fram offers a greater number of suites (136 in total) than is normal for ships of its type. The ship is named after Fridtjof Nansen's polar ship Fram, which can still claim to have sailed further north and further south than any other ship. MS Fram is NCV's first purpose-built ship and will set a new standard in expedition cruising in polar regions. The ship is set to complete a 66-day repositioning cruise, from September to November 2007, before commencing service in Antarctica in November 2007.

MS Fram has eight decks and measures 114 metres long and 20 metres wide. There are 136 cabins furnished to a high standard, providing 318 beds. The ship also features great conference and meeting facilities. A specially-equipped tender lobby will make expeditions to shore in Polar Circle boats both safe and comfortable. MS Fram also has a restaurant, bar, sauna, gym, Jacuzzi, passenger bridge and viewing lounge.

The Greenland voyages are featured prominently in NCV's newly-released 2007 Expedition Voyages brochure which also details their Antarctica and Spitsbergen programs.

There has been great interest in NCV's Greenland voyages from around the world, meaning you will be in the company of an eclectic group of experienced world travellers during your extraordinary voyage.
