Kuwait Airways History
Kuwait Airlines was formed
in the year 1954. Initially,
the airline served limited
routes like Beirut, Abadan,
Jerusalem, and Damascus.
However, very soon the
airline was acquired by the
Government of Kuwait via 50
percent stake and later to
100 percent shareholding.
This brought an enhancement
in the capital base after
which the airline increased
the destinations from four,
to several other cities
within Asia and Africa.
