. That's A Fact! We pioneered *Custom Editorial Advertising years ago by creating a series of powerful 'Op Ed ' quarter page features that ran daily for 3 weeks in a Major Metropolitan Newspaper. Our client at the time was a new Sheraton Hotel that was about to open its doors to the public. The entire campaign was a blockbuster, creating awareness far beyond the normal realms of paid advertising. And the icing on the cake, was the fact that this publicity windfall was achieved almost entirely with co-op funds. Throughout the 1980s, we employed the same successful concept in a variety of ways,with a combination of print and broadcast media, for business clients, governments and national associations. In the mid 90s, we performed some similar 'media gymnastics,' providing 14 Custom Editorial pages for a National Consumer Magazine. This unique special 'Drive Vacations' Edition targeted 400,000 well heeled couples and families in Canada and the USA. Voila- another huge success! A year later, Air Highways Magazine set a new standard; its premier edition being more than 90 per cent editorial, although the advertising ratio was exceptionally high. Air Highways has a much better look and feel than the usual magazines that sandwich their editorial copy between layers of wall to wall advertising. A nightmare for the layout artist and a headache for the discerning reader. It's a keeper! That same Air Highways edition is still in demand five years later. Why? The advertising is not dated and each copy contains an attractive 11" x 17" fold-out Supermap of Air Routes (not available elsewhere). Our 10th Anniversary Edition of this Supermap will be produced in 2002. Not long ago we designed a Golf Vacations Edition for a regional Airport Magazine using the same success principles and a map of BC Golf Courses. Our New Triple Whammy! Now thanks to the digital age, Custom Editorial style pages are available in our three magazines as always, but also on our 3 web sites. These Custom Editorial pages give the reader an overview of your product, service or travel destination, with links provided.
